Violet's Obituary
Violet F. Scott, 82, of South Haven, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. She was born June 15, 1932 to Felix and Adeline (Mrugac) Wyszynski in Lacota, MI. She married Robert Scott on June 27, 1953 in South Haven.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Robert Scott; two sisters – Loretta Schurr and Genevieve Johnson; three brothers – Adolph, Phil, and Edward; son-in-law – Dennis E. Hammond.
Violet is survived by her children – Robert (Teri) Scott of South Haven, Barbara (Dan) Olsen of Grand Junction, and Debbie Hammond of Lawton; three sisters – Mamie Steinmiller, Dorothy Getman, and Lillian Valind all of South Haven; Five grandchildren – Steven, Dennis II, and Amber Hammond, Brian Lee Scott, and Bobby D. Olsen; Six great grandchildren – Austin, Connor, Dillan, Lorna, Kenndric, and Natalie Hammond.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. Violet will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
