Naomi's Obituary

 

Naomi Juanita Garlock, 82, of South Haven, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. She was born February 15, 1932 to George and Roxie (Tice) Bills in Patriot, IN.  She married Clifford Garlock on June 4, 1957 in Kentucky. Naomi enjoyed babysitting and doing day care. She was known for making her Lemon Meringue Pie.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Clifford Garlock; two sons – Mike and Chester Garlock; daughter – Patricia Tice; siblings – Ruth Griffin, Oliver Bills, Gene Bills, Isabella Frakes, and Mary Tull.

Naomi is survived by her children – Frank (Sheila) Garlock of South Haven, Leonard (Neva) Tice of Pullman, Brad Tice of South Haven, Clifford (Celine) Garlock of Fennville, Naomi (Ken) Holt of South Haven, Corrina, Robert, Stanley Garlock all of South Haven, Judy Garlock of Tennessee, and James (Karen) Garlock of Holland; siblings – Pauline White of Arkansas, Alene Moore of California, and Chester Bills of Texas. 25 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick officiating at the funeral home. Naomi will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
