Ethel's Obituary
Ethel Diana Mince, age 95, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, in Fennville, Michigan.
She was born February 1, 1920 in Louisville, Illinois.
Ethel is survived by her children - Linda Hull of Ft. Myers, FL; Edna Wade of Dowagiac, MI; Charles (Hilde) Noles of Frankfort, IL; Ken (Ann) Noles of Augusta, MI; Christine (Wally) Stricklin of South Haven, MI; David (Lisa) Mince of Union, KY; Melanie (Mark) Lillie of Pentwater, MI; daughter-in-law, Mary (Noles) Kievet of Schoolcraft, MI; 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 14 great, great grandchildren; sisters – Adaline Doud of Evansville, IL; Dorothy Holliday and Norma O’Dell of Citrus Heights, CA.
She is proceeded in death by her son, Stephen Noles; also 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Ethel lived many years in Lawrence, MI and was a long time employee of Adams Electronics in Bangor.
She raised her children with a great deal of love and sacrifice.
She loved the simple things of life: gardening, flowers, crossword puzzles, cats, bird watching and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. She was a great cook and baker and is well remembered for her homemade chicken and noodles and delicious pies.
A celebration of Ethel’s life will take place at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, South Haven on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at 10:00 AM. Rev. Mark Lillie (son-in-law) will officiate. A private interment will take place at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
The family extends their thanks to Meridian Golden Orchards Assisted Living in Fennville and Great Lakes Caring Hospice for their compassionate and tender care for our loved one.
