Charles's Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Geier of South Haven age 72 died Friday, February 27 at South Haven Health Systems. Chuck was born October 7, 1942 in South Haven to Marcella (Gorman) and Nestor Geier. Chuck was a 1960 graduate of South Haven High School. Chuck worked as a mail carrier in South Haven for 31 years. Chuck then worked at Clementines for 15 years until his retirement. In his younger years, Chuck loved to travel. When able Chuck enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and St. Basil Catholic Church. Chuck was a huge Wisconsin Badger's fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ed Geier.
Surviving is his daughter - Jennifer (Tim Shaw) Geier of Kalamazoo. Sister - Bobbie Geier of Richland, Michigan and a brother - John (Joy) Geier of Holland, Michigan. Also surviving is a sister in law - Kathleen Geier of Grand Junction, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 4, from 10 to 11:00 AM at St. Basil Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 AM at St Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Flickinger officiating. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church. Burial will be at North Shore Memorial Gardens in Hagar Shores.
