Bertha Mae Awe

Bertha Mae “Franklin” “Richmond” Awe was born on January 9, 1950 in Holly Spring, Mississippi. She enjoyed painting and was an amateur photographer and videographer.  She worked for Xerox in Chicago for 18 years before retiring in 2010. Bertha attended the New Testament Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents -V.L. and Raymond Richmond.

Bertha leaves in memory of her one son – Julius Franklin, her four grandchildren – Brandon, Bianca, and Brian Murdock, and Gloria Silverman; three great grandchildren; four brothers – Paul, Terry, David, and Michael; one sister – Linda; and four sisters-in-law – Yolonda, Millie, Cathy, and Freddy Mae. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive.
