Rosie's Obituary
Rosie Booker, 79, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Country Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Haven. She was born October 26, 1935 in Mississippi to Ophus and Beatrice (Holloway) Booker. During her life, Rosie worked as a custodian at L.C. Moore high school for 22 years and then at Country Side Nursing Home for 20 years. Rosie loved gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed sewing, and traveling. Rosie was an exceptional baker and enjoyed making soul food including zucchini bread, greens, cornbread, and black eyed peas.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Betty Booker.
Rosie is survived by her six grandchildren - Demetria Booker, Lolita Frazier, Robert Lee Booker, Seneca Allen Booker, Adrian Perez, and Rosie Marie Booker. Great-grandchildren - Brandon Mathis Booker, Victoria Booker, Talon Higgins, and Seneca Allen Booker II. Five great-great-grandchildren also survive.
