Vahee's Obituary
Vahee Knarian, 79, passed away April 9, 2015 under Hospice Care at the South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Vahee was born April 16, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Parsek and Zvart (Andonian) Knarian. He grew up on the family farm in Bloomingdale, Michigan.
On June 30, 1956, he married Mary (Brearley) in Hartford, Michigan. They had two beautiful daughters..
Vahee owned and operated the M-140 Mobile Home Service in South Haven for 30 years. He was a “jack-of-all trades”, and loved helping friends and family. In recent years, he loved fixing and reselling bicycles. He also enjoyed attending car auctions with his good friend, Richard Ely.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary, his two daughters; Virginia Roe of South Haven and Barbara (James) Bollnow of Bangor, five grandchildren; Amy, Ashlee and Dylan Roe and Steven and Nicole Bollnow. Also surviving are his brother; Vahakn Knarian of Kalamazoo, two sisters; Bergouhi McNutt of Kentucky and Margaret Baber of Portage, sister-in-law Barbara Knarian of Allegan and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two infant siblings, brother-in-law; Richard Baber who passed in 2012, brother; Vahram Knarian who passed in 2013 and sister-in-law Bobie Knarian who passed in 2014.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Haven. Contributions may be made in Vahee’s memory to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 718 Arbor Court, South Haven, Michigan 49090 or South Haven’s Hospice at Home,
