Dorothy M. Lynam

Dorothy M. (Dottie) Lynam passed away peacefully Saturday evening, June 6, at home under Hospice care in South Haven. She was born on December 14, 1923, to John and Edith Westergren, in Chicago. The family moved to South Haven in 1936 and she was graduated with the class of 1941 from South Haven High School.

Over the years, she held many working positions. She was a secretary for Tri-County Telephone Co., then a legal secretary for attorney Randolph Monroe. She later was secretary to the manager of Hilltop Orchards in Hartford, and then Executive Secretary for Everett Piano Co., retiring in 1985. She was married to Wilbur (Wib) Lynam, Jan. 25, 1947.

The couple has two sons, Kenneth (Nancy), in Dunedin, FL and David (Janet) in South Haven; three grandchildren, Jessica Cifaldi, Eric Lynam and Jaime Lynam; four great grandchildren, Aiden, Tyus, Laina and Xander. .

She was preceded in death by her parents and by one grandson, Alex.
 

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Memorial services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick officiating at the funeral home. Dorothy will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
