James's Obituary
James Jeffries Jr., 34, of Covert, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Univ. of Michigan Health Systems. He was born March 2, 1981 to Maxine and James Jeffries Sr. in South Haven, Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather - Melvin Jeffries; special friends, Jamal Burton, Leonard "Uno" Scodes, Arthur Wilhite, Laura Davis and Grandma Rose Willhite.
James is survived by his children – James Albert Jeffries III, LaNiyah Pittsley, Javon Naquarius Pittsley, Jayauna Maria Jeffries, Queshawn Jackson, Shakelah Jackson, Markyse Taevon Brandon Merritt, Adrena Mize; companion - Jessica (Jones) Jeffries: parents, Maxine and James Jeffries; siblings, Melvin (Latrice) Jeffries, Tamara (Daniel) Jeffries, Lakeesha (Lonnie) Jeffries ; grandmother -Cora Jeffries and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and God Brothers - Fred Chadwick, Bernell Hill, Bobby Schmit Jeremiah White, Verne Jeffries.
A wake will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Gospel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Covert. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Henry Allen officiating. Burial will take place in Covert Cemetery.
