Roberta's Obituary

Roberta June Wozniak, 64, of South Haven, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 29, 2015 at her home. She was born June 25, 1951 to Robert and Adella (Kreigh) Withey in South Haven. Roberta worked at Do It, Hayworth, and finally River Ridge Retirement Community for over ten years. A life-long animal activist, Roberta fostered animals at her home for the Al Van Humane Society and volunteered at the Al Van Treasures. Roberta was an active member of the South Haven Black River Lions Club and the South Haven Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Roberta loved the beach, collecting sea shells and feeding the seagulls.

Roberta’s favorite pastime was talking over coffee with her brother Leonard (Deloris) Withey. Roberta also played an important role in her daughter’s life as well as her grandchildren. Roberta will truly be missed by all, but will never be forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her father – Robert Charles Withey who passed in 1962 and her nephew Robert “Bobby” Withey who passed in 2010.

Roberta is survived by her daughter – Monica Wozniak of South Haven, mother and step-father – Adella and Lester Dunham of South Haven, grandchildren – Curtis and Andru Williams and Makhia, Moneo, and Jackson Wozniak, siblings – Leonard (Dolores) Withey of South Haven, Sheila Hubbard of Tyler, Texas, and Susan (Arthur) Haines of Abilene, Texas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015 with President Lincoln Osban officiating at South Haven Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A luncheon will be held following services.
