Douglas's Obituary
Douglas Alan Hill, 49, of South Haven, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home in Geneva Township. Douglas was born October 24, 1965 to Howard Hill and Dorothy (Bradford) Carr in South Haven. Douglas worked for Triex Tube Company in Benton Harbor for two years before serving his country in the United States Navy. Douglas loved to fish and enjoyed running.
Douglas is survived by his son – Stephen Sisson of Pullman, his mother – Dorothy Carr of South Haven, his father – Howard Hill of South Haven, brother – Stephen Hill of South Haven, sisters – Laurie Lorren of Bangor and Vicky (William) Akers of South Haven. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. A graveside service will follow visitation at 12:30 PM at Stephenson Cemetery in Casco Township with Pastor Mark Wheeler officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Douglas’ memory to the Disabled American Veterans Organization, PO Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
