John's Obituary
John Fredrick Zimmer, 73, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at his home. He was born January 12, 1942 to Fredrick and Viola (Ray) Zimmer in Branch, Michigan. John served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his service, John worked in the transportation industry driving trucks. He enjoyed watching movies and fishing.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by a son – John Zimmer, Jr. and sister – Catherine Cole.
John is survived by his companion – Sharon Pucik of South Haven, daughters – Lorrie (Todd) Smith of Lake Village, Indiana and Tina (Michael) Stump of Bourbonnais, Illinois, step-children – Daniel Mercer of Holland and Jeffrey Mercer of Pittsburg, California, siblings – James (Nancy) Zimmer of Branch, Michigan and Rose Zimmer of Ludington, six grandchildren – Brianne Smith, Ryne (Courtney) Smith, Colton Smith, Chynna Stump, Michael Stump, Jr., and Jade Stump, five great grandchildren – Jordan, Anthony, Alexis, Angelina, and Dominic.
Private family services have taken place.
