Glenn's Obituary
Glenn F. Heiser Sr. 74 of South Haven died December 25, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born July 16, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Wilbert and Frances (Kabowski) Heiser. Glenn served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Glenn married Elfriede Odenwald on April 6, 1962 in Fulda, Germany. Glenn worked at several places in the South Haven area including Getmans, Bohn Aluminum and Heiser Home Improvements. He also worked for the South Haven Police Department as a beach patrol officier. Glenn enjoyed building model ships and cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers – Don, Gene, and Will Heiser. Also by a sister – Winifred Gross.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Elfriede. Children – Fred (Maria) of Holland. Glenn (Cheryl) Heiser Jr. of Sodus, Linda (Joseph) Tomlinson of Bangor, Darlene (Tim Elett) Heiser of Allegan and Mike (Peggy) Heiser of Branson, Missouri. Numerous grand children and great grandchildren. Brothers – Fred, Wayne, Rich and James Heiser. Sister – LaVerne Heiser also survives.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Graveside services with military honors will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
