Breeana Emily Elizabeth Wakild

Breeana Emily Elizabeth Wakild, 23, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born March 10, 1992 to Terri Wakild in Kalamazoo. Breeana graduated from South Haven High School in 2010. She went on to study art and ceramics at Western Michigan University. Breeana loved working with children and taught art and worked as an aide in summer school programs for 12 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church UCC in South Haven. Breeana touched the lives of many through summer school, the art center, Our Town Players, and Drive Safe Kalamazoo.

Breeana is survived by her mother – Terri Wakild of South Haven, grandparents – Mariann and Bob Pulliam of Gobles, aunt – Tammy (Matt) Larson of South Haven and uncle – Chris (Ronda) Wakild of Kalamazoo, eight cousins – Jon Larson, Tom (Abby) Larson, Jennifer Larson, Brooke (Matt) Bartels, Bradly (Julie) Russell, Tim Larson, Megan Larson, and Alicia (Paul) Russell, second cousins – Bennett Larson, Hayleann Larson, and Ryan Kozlik, and her best friend – Jacob Beach of Kalamazoo.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the First Congregational Church UCC with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick officiating. Contributions may be made in Breanna’s memory to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, 1400 W. Milham Avenue, Portage, Michigan 49024 or to the Wakild Family at 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
