Jane Lee Aiuppy

Jane Lee Aiuppy, 84, of South Haven, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her home. She was born December 17, 1931 to William and Eleanor (Adams) Abbott in South Haven. Jane married Charles Aiuppy on January 21, 1949 in South Haven and shared 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. She worked as a wound care aide for over thirty years at Restwood and Martin Luther Nursing Home. She was also a member of Kingdom Hall. She was proud to take care of all family and loved her dog, Winston.

She is preceded in death along with her parents and husband by daughter – Debra Aiuppy, three brothers – William “Jack”, Lawrence, and Charles K. Abbott, and son-in-law – Michael Hamilton.

Jane is survived by her children – Anthony “Tony” (Sandra) Aiuppy of Florida and Cheryl Hamilton of South Haven, siblings – Dean Abbott of Bangor, Mary Ellen Goodrode of Fairhope, Alabama, Joyce Abbott of South Haven, Glen “Buck” (Carol) Abbott of Bangor, Keith (Bonnie) Abbott of Gobles, and Peter (Molly) Abbott of Grand Junction, grandchildren – Christopher Aiuppy, Eleanor (Justin) Pittman and Tiffany Dowell, and one great-grandson – Jared Stanbery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Mr. Wayne Balzar officiating. Jane will be laid to rest at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township.
