Kathleen's Obituary
Kathleen Y. Parsons, 93, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Starfish Care Homes in Tucson, Arizona. She was born November 30, 1922 to Alvey and Willa Mae (Vanover) Young in Owensboro, Kentucky. Kathleen married William Parsons on November 16, 1946 in Owensboro, Kentucky. A much loved home maker for her family, Kathleen also worked for the GC Murphy Company for 20 years before retiring in 1984.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – William F. Parsons, brother – Clarence Young, and sisters – Tula Mae and Mabel.
Kathleen is survived by her children – William (Susan) Parsons of Clare, Michigan, Diana Hiddema and Deborah Parsons both of Tucson, Arizona, six grandchildren - John (Melissa), Michael (Elizabeth), Beth (Tony), Nathan, Joel (Amber), Lydia. and ten great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in South Haven Pastor Jerry Koller officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church following services. Kathleen will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores, Michigan, next to her husband of 53 years – William Parsons.
