Robert's Obituary
Robert Kyle Asbury, 74, of South Haven, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at the South Haven Health System. He was born March 13, 1942 to Ezra and Theresa (Maher) Asbury in Galesburg, Illinois. Robert served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Jones on March 4, 1967 in Benton Harbor. Robert worked as supervisor at Michigan Standard Alloys in Benton Harbor for twenty years. He loved his cat, “Sweet Pea”, and spending his time completing crossword puzzles. He was an avid bird watcher and a NASCAR fan who would cheer for Dale Earnhardt.
He is preceded in death by his wife – Linda Asbury and sister – Donna Lutz.
Robert is survived by his children -Micheala (Mark) Miller of South Haven, Nickol (Roy) Henslee of Harleyville, South Carolina, and Pam Buckland of Florida, eight grandchildren – Paul, Brianna, Mallory, Katie, Tyler, Logan, Samantha, and Brandon, and three great grandchildren – Margo, Kora, and Emery.
Private family services have been held.
