Jonathan's Obituary
Jonathan “JJ” Michael Smith, 23, of Bangor, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the South Haven Health System. He was born July 19, 1992 to Dawn Marie Smith in Elkhart, Indiana. JJ loved camping, going to baseball games, listening to music, and watching movies. He especially enjoyed Bob the Builder and Thomas the Train.
He is preceded in death by his mother – Dawn Marie Smith.
JJ is survived by his adopted mother – Julie (Karen Drake) Olson of Bangor, step brothers – Zachary Hanner and Joshua (Jessica) Olson, grandparents – Jerry and Linda Drake and Herb and Judy Olson, aunts – Jenni Livingston, Lori Butkovitch both of Plainwell and Robin Boss of Grand Rapids, and cousins – Emily Emmons, Keefer and Keegan Livingston, Justin Rutlidge, Annie and Kari Butkovitch, Issac, Alex, and Isabellee Olson.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick officiating. JJ will be laid to rest at Green Bower Cemetery in Alamo Township.
