Florene's Obituary
Florene “Flo” Westerfield, 84, of South Haven, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at her home. She was born January 14, 1932 to Henry and Shabby (Allen) Egner in Kentucky. Florene married Neil T. Westerfield on January 23, 1951 in Corbin, Kentucky.
Flo was a homemaker and also worked at S.E. Overton Factory in South Haven, Michigan. She enjoyed bowling, casinos, tending to her flower garden, growing tomatoes, and going to yard sales. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
She is preceded in death by her husband – Neil Westerfield who passed in 2006, two sons – Larry and Michael Westerfield, and grandson – Davey Westerfield.
Florene is survived by her children – David (Debbie) Westerfield of Grand Junction and Jeanie (Donna Brown) Westerfield of South Haven. Four grandchildren – Laura (Chris) Crandell, Michelle (Jamie) Huerta, Jennifer (Mike) Brouwer and Marcus Brown. Fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 3:00 PM at The Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Jon Vandenburg officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Van Buren Senior services.
