Douglas's Obituary
Douglas Cope, 65, of Fennville, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at the South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. He was born May 6, 1951 to Cecil and Imogene (Smith) Cope in Little Rock, Arkansas. Douglas enjoyed playing music and was especially talented on the guitar.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by a daughter – Michelle and brother - Wayne Cope.
Douglas is survived by his children – Linnea (Scott) Wood of Portage and Aaron Cope of Escanaba, siblings – Ed Cope of Alabama, Charles Cope of Glenn, LaVerle Sager of Kalamazoo, Sharon Parrett and Brenda Rigozzi both of South Haven. Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will follow visitation at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Curry Pikkaart officiating.
