Jerry's Obituary
Jerry Inman, also fondly known as “Fuzzy” to many, 71, of South Haven, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born November 20, 1944 in Muskegon, Michigan. He and his family lived in Whitehall and Montague, and finally settled in South Haven. Jerry joined the Navy while in high school and served for four years. After his discharge, he started working at Bohn Aluminum and was there for 31 years. After Bohn closed, he worked at Gentex in Zeeland for several years until his retirement. He then helped his wife, Shelley, at the laundromat in South Haven until 2011. Jerry and Shelley were fortunate to have enjoyed 22 years of marriage. For the last five years, he and his wife enjoyed winters in Florida where Jerry made many good friends.
Jerry will be remembered as a very kind and giving man who would go out of his way to help anyone. He will not only be missed by his family, but also by anyone who was lucky enough to be counted among his many friends. He enjoyed antiquing, and collected dragons and amethyst glassware. Jerry enjoyed wood working from building decks to making birdhouses and many things in between.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Edna Inman and brother – Ted Inman.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Shelley, children David Inman, Diana (Mike) Collins, Stacia Klock, David (Kristy) Klock, ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He also had many honorary children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church in South Haven.
