Joy Ivey Antcliff

Joy Ivey Antcliff, 89, of South Haven, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. She was born July 11, 1927 to George and Annie (Steinke) von Blanckensee in Pomona, Queensland, Australia. Joy married Arbor Antcliff on March 11, 1944 in Brisbane, Australia and share 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2007. Joy worked in real estate as an abstractor of title. She was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church in South Haven.

She is preceded in death along with her parents and husband by a son – Graeme Antcliff and brothers – Bill and Walter von Blanckensee.

Joy is survived by her children – Janette (John) Borchardt of Coloma, Bruce (Mary) Antcliff of Grandville, Michigan, and Duane (Cathy) Antcliff of Portage, sister – Denise (John) Evans of Australia. Ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3:00 PM with Pastor Mark Manning officiating at the funeral home. Joy will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 23, 2016.
