Ellen's Obituary
Ellen Kay Appelhans, 66, of South Haven, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland following a courageous battle with two separate bouts of cancer. She was born October 3, 1949 to Thomas and Betty (Mook) Robinson in South Haven. She married Andy Appelhans on May 19, 1968 and shared 43 years of marriage until his passing in 2012. Ellen retired from the United States Postal Service after many dedicated years of service.
She is preceded in death along with her parents and husband by twin sisters – Pamela Lea and Penny Lynn Robinson.
Ellen is survived by her daughters – Andrea Appelhans and Monica Harding, granddaughter – Courtney Harding, great grandson – Brayden Andrew, and brother – Tommy Lee Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
