Donald's Obituary

Donald Biernacki, 59, of Lacota, Michigan died Friday, September 30, 2016 at his home.  Donald was born March 10, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Helen (Krzemen) and Casimir Biernacki.  Donald was a graduate of Morton East High School and Morton College.  He worked for the Union Local #11 in Westchester, Illinois where he was a roofer, water proofer and welder.  He worked with the union for 31 years.  Donald was very active and enjoyed many things such as fishing, hunting, tractors and music.  He was accomplished at the saxophone and clarinet.  Donald was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in South Haven and a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree.  Donald loved helping and fixing things for others.  He never said no and was always willing to help.

He is preceded in death by his father, Casimir Biernacki and his brother, Casimer Biernacki.

Surviving is his mother, Helen Biernacki of Lacota.  Sister, Christine (Kevin) Kusek of Villa Park, Illinois.  Brother, Steve (Susan) Biernacki of Cicero, Illinois.  Nieces and nephew – Christa Kasper, Casey Biernacki and Sandi Biernacki.   

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 4, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 at the church with Rev. Father Jim Morris officiating.  Donald will be laid to rest at the Lacota Cemetery.
