Citholetta (Talisa) Terrell

Citholetta (Talisa) Terrell, 48, of Berrien Springs died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan. She was born October 18, 1967 in Benton Harbor to Tillies Jones and Charlotte Cummings-Snead. Talisa received her education and graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1985. She was united in marriage to Artie Terrell on July 16, 2011. She employed at JVIS manufacturing for 12 years.

She was baptized in Jesus’ Name and received the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Pastor Ella Mobley. She later became a member of the Greater Faith Apostolic Church under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop Joe L. Cunningham in Benton Harbor.

Talisa loved to decorate, read, joke and laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Talisa’s grandchildren were very special and dear to her heart. She loved to have fun with them and was very giving. When her daughters were young, she would travel with them, take them shopping, and always showed them how much she loved them. Talisa like watching movies with her daughters and sister. She loved to put new recipes on Facebook and loved to eat what she cooked.

Talisa leaves to cherish her memories:  Her husband, Artie Terrell; her father Tillies Jones of Berrien Springs, daughters – Nakisha Broyles of Berrien Springs, Latoya Broyles of South Bend, two brothers – Tillies Cummings and Mario Cummings both of Benton Harbor, one sister – Carolyn (Dwight) Bowman of Benton Harbor, and three grandchildren – Christopher Jr. and Latoriya Moore and Brandon Parker II. A host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and church family also survive.

Talisa was preceded in death by her mother – Charlotte Cummings-Snead and step-father – Henry Snead.

Wake will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Greater Faith Apostolic Church in Benton Harbor. Funeral services will follow wake at 11:00 AM at the church with Suffragan Bishop Joe L. Cunningham officiating. Talisa will be laid to rest at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor.
