Dolores Mae French

Dolores Mae French, 84, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Holland, Michigan. She was born May 13, 1932 to William Woods and Darlene (Stuller) Woods in Pullman, Michigan. Dolores married Herb French on January 14, 1950 in South Haven and shared 50 wonderful years of marriage until his death in June of 2000. In September of 2010, she married James E. Carrier in South Haven.

Dolores was a Sunday school teacher for 58 years at Bethel Baptist Church. She was also a volunteer for Hospice at Home in South Haven.

She is preceded in death by her husbands – Herb French and James Carrier.

Dolores is survived by her children – Jim and Cathy French, and Lauri (John) Tsakonas all of South Haven and Janet (Bruce) Hayward of Holland, grandchildren – Nicholas French, Lynsy (Michael Schultz) and Tyler Morris, and John Tsakonas, great grandchildren – Riley and Jace Schultz, and siblings – Sherry Parrish of Bangor, Larry (Shirley) Conroy of Holland, Lorna (Ernie) Vanderboegh of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Layton (Cecile) Conroy of Grand Junction.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Bethel Baptist Church in South Haven with Pastors Mark Congrove and Dale Byers officiating. Dolores will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
