Sandra's Obituary
Sandra Joyce Merrill, 65, of Grand Junction, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Borgess Pipp Hospital in Plainwell. She was born June 15, 1951 to Clarence and Verna (Franklin) Srb in South Haven. Sandra graduated from South Haven High School in the class of 1969. She married Carl Merrill on January 27, 1975 at the Church of the Epiphany in South Haven. Sandra worked for the State of Michigan Unemployment Office for 33 years before her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister – Linda Srb.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 41 years – Carl Merrill of Grand Junction, children – Amy (Kevin Jackson) McMillan of Grand Junction, Sabrina of Grand Junction, Andrew and Christopher Merrill both of Grand Haven, grandchildren – Samuel and Nicholas McMillan, Elijah Jackson, and Sebastian and Jasper Merrill, and sister – Susan (David) Parker of Durand, Michigan.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Sandra will be laid to rest in Lee Township Cemetery.
