Carmella's Obituary
Carmella M. Gibson, 89, of South Haven, passed away, Friday, October 28, 2016 at the South Haven Health System. She was born July 23, 1927 to Sebastino and Josephine (Algozino) Spiccia in East Chicago, Indiana. Carmella worked for many years at the Michigan Fruit Canners until her retirement.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her siblings – Albert, Joseph, and Sam Spiccia, Mary Gekus, Betty Pigg, and Josephine Rogers.
Carmella is survived by her children – Robert (Patti) Gibson of South Haven, Ann (Jerome) Parks of Fennville, Katherine (Richard White) Hefright of South Haven, Karen (Martin) VanHolt of South Haven, Michael (Cora) Gibson of Pullman, Sunny (Pam) Gibson of South Haven, and Audrey Gibson of South Haven. Twenty grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Bernice Thomas officiating.
