Jeanette Landry

Jeanette Landry, 89, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born February 28, 1927 to Francis and Clara (Aulie) Beckwith in South Haven.  She graduated from South Haven High School in 1944. She married Laurence Landry on November 22, 1946 in South Haven. Jeannette worked at and retired from the South Haven Rexall Drugs company. Jeannette also served on the South Haven Community Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Haven where she taught Sunday School for 25 years.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by two sisters – Agatha Kiry and Elvira Howe and brothers – Neil Beckwith and Dale Beckwith.

Jeannette is survived by her husband of 70 years - Laurence Landry, children - David (Jan) Landry of Fennville, Jeff (Diane) Landry of South Haven, Carol (Lowell) Kempfert of Neenah, Wisconsin, and Laurie (Mike) Bame of Benton Harbor,  siblings – Mae Markstrom of South Haven, Phil (Eva) Beckwith of Salado, Texas, and Dean (Laura) Beckwith of Grand Junction. Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven. Memorial services will follow visitation at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Stephen Daley officiating.
