Mary Helen Clayton

Mary Helen Clayton, 61, of Bangor, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her home under Hospice care. She was born June 28, 1955 to Leonard and Mary Rose (Lange) Burns in Paw Paw. Mary married Dale Clayton on December 30, 1971 in Paw Paw. Mary enjoyed watching her shows and especially enjoyed Westerns. She also enjoyed playing video games. Mary was a mother figure to many children over the years and loved being with her family. She was especially strong in her faith and would profess her faith in Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by, siblings – Bobby, Robin and Ronald Burns and grandson – Shawn Clayton Borden.

Mary is survived by her husband of 45 years – Dale Clayton, children – Dale (Christina) Clayton, Jr. of Covert and Michelle (Russell) Borden of Bangor, siblings – Robert (Loretta) Burns, Nellie Cheek, Albert (Patricia) Burnes, Alice (Mike) Cook, Sally (Mark) Clayton, Raymond (Sharron) Burns, and Betty Lou (Wayne) Wells, Kenneth, Monica, and Karen Allerman, grandchildren – Kayla Borden and Kristofer and Erin Clayton, great grandchildren – Kayden, Joseph, and Alyssa.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the funeral home with Mr. Doug Clayton officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at Fish Cemetery in Covert, Michigan.
