Pearl's Obituary
Pearl Waneta Privett, 80, of Bangor, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Bronson Hospital in South Haven. She was born February 29, 1936 to Bernard Moore and Alice Morris in South Haven. Pearl enjoyed trying her luck at the casino and also enjoyed listening to folk and country music. She loved her animals and especially cared for her cats.
She is preceded in death by her late husband – Thurmond Privett, daughter – Bonnie McCarthy, granddaughter – Rebecca Elliott, and siblings – Betty Brewington and Burl Morris.
Pearl is survived by her life companion of 33 years – Phillip Braun of Bangor, daughter – Barbara (David Braun) Elliot of Grand Junction, son – Ricky McCarthy, step children – James (Isabel) Braun of Holland, George Braun of South Haven, and Joseph (Erica) Braun of Holland, grand children – Casey Braun, Paul Elliott, Raea Braun, Georgia Braun, and Alex Braun, sister – Alene Crabtree nieces and nephew – Debbie, Kathy, Sherry, Jodie, and Buddy Crabtree, and Nelda Metzger, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM with Pastor Virginia Heller officiating at the funeral home. Pearl will be laid to rest at Monk Cemetery in Geneva Township.
