Gregory's Obituary
Gregory Arthur Keller, 83, of South Haven, formally of Prospect Heights, Illinois passed away January 28th, 2017 at his home. He was born May 5, 1933 to Harold and Ethel Keller in Chicago, Illinois. Greg was a career woodworker, starting with a woodworking apprenticeship early in life. He was a member of the Cabinetmakers Union in Chicago, honed his skill throughout his life and could build just about anything. As a young man, he surprised family in Chicago by coming home with a picture of a cabin he built on the property they owned in Michigan.
He was an avid collector of coins, loved watching old black and white movies, feeding birds and squirrels, enjoyed cooking and good food. He even sometimes baked homemade bread to feed seagulls. He had a generous loving heart and was always contributing to organizations that help animals, and always had a rescued pet. Greg loved spending time with family at holidays and birthdays were very special to him.
Greg is survived by his sister Judi Ransom of South Haven Kathy McClurg of Cave Springs, Arkansas, brother - Albert Keller of Brookings, South Dakota, nephew Michael Keller of Brookings, South Dakota, nieces Cheri Raymond of Springfield Mo., Kelly Mullen of West Dundee, Il., Kerri Barker of Portage, Mi., and Beth McDonald of Saranac, Michigan.
Greg was laid to rest next to his father at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights, Illinois, February 7th, 2017.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother and father.
