Ethel's Obituary
Ethel Marie Bronson, 95, of Portage, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Kalamazoo. She was born March 10, 1922 to James and Ethel (O’Reilly) Ganter in Detroit, Michigan. She married Russell J. Bronson on January 30, 1947 in Detroit and shared 69 years of marriage before his passing in September of 2016.
Ethel is survived by her children - Russell (Kay) Bronson of Portage, Kevin (Sheila) Bronson, and Dennis Bronson, both of Kalamazoo and grandchildren; Russ Bronson, James Bronson, Lindsay Larrabee, Dustin Bronson, Evan Bronson, Aaron Bronson, and brother, Carl Ganter of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the St. Catherine of Siena Church, Portage, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 PM at the church. Ethel will be laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan. Contributions may be made in Ethel’s memory to Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes, 901 Portage Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
