Lydia's Obituary
Lydia Jean (Cloud) McShan, 80, of South Haven passed away May 4, 2017 at Hallmark Living skilled nursing facility. She was born April 22, 1937 to Thomas F. Cloud and Icoline Ruth (Merritt) Cloud in Bangor, Michigan. Following the early death of her birth mother, Lydia was raised by her father and stepmother – Anna Belle Cloud, with whom she had a special relationship through her life. Lydia was a faithful musician, playing the organ at her family's church and neighboring churches for over sixty years. She enjoyed serving in her church and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by husband - David James McShan, brothers – Fredrick Cloud and Samuel Cloud.
Lydia is survived by her daughter – Davida McShan of Portage, grand daughters - Shaniqua McShan of Arlington, Virginia and Taylor Anglin of Portage, brother - John Cloud and sister - Cliffie (Cloud) Allen. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A grave side service will be held on June 21, 2017, 1:00 PM at the South Haven Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Cobbs officiating.
