Sadie's Obituary
Sadie Bell Drake of South Haven 87, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 surrounded by her family at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born March 31, 1930 in Ganges, Michigan to Mina (Wilges) and Mont Conner. Sadie graduated from South Haven High School Class of 1949. Sadie worked at the Secretary of States licensing bureau in South Haven where she retired after many years of service. She liked to read and play with her grand children.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by a daughter – Denise Drake and brothers – Donald Conner and Franklin Conner.
She is survived by her son – Ron (Karen) Drake of South Haven. Daughter – Monica Drake of South Haven. Two grand children – Rachel (Steve) Burson and Vincent (Kathleen) Lira. Four great grand children – Lily Ring, Nathan Lira, Kaelynn Lira and Jordan Burson. Brother – Willis (Jean) Conner of South Haven.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place on Thursday, June 1, at 11:00 AM at Plummerville Cemetery. Sadie will be laid to rest at Plummerville Cemetery in Ganges Township.
