Charles's Obituary
Charles Lee Cope of Glenn, Michigan 74, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home. He was born May 9, 1943 in Leachville, Arkansas to Cecil “Jack” Cope and Imogene Maddron. Charles was a metallurgist at National Motors, Bohn Aluminum and Hayworth which he retired from in 2008. Charles enjoyed watching sports on television. He was a Detroit Lions fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He is preceded in death along with his parents and brothers – Wayne and Douglas Cope.
He is survived by his sons – David Cope of Glenn and Timothy Vesper of Holland. Two grandchildren. Brother – Edward (Gaye) Cope of Huntsville, Alabama. Sisters – Sharon Parrett and Brenda (Joe) Rigozzi both of South Haven and Laverle Sager of Kalamazoo. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Charles will be laid to rest at Grand Junction Cemetery in Geneva Township.
