Beverly Jean Wyhowski

Beverly Jean Wyhowski, 86, of South Haven, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Bronson Hospital in South Haven. She was born November 17, 1930 to Herbert and Elsie (Disterheft) First  in Dowagiac, Michigan. Beverly was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven.  Beverly volunteered as a 4-H Cooking Leader.  She loved spending time in her flower garden. Beverly also helped with the placement of foreign exchange students in local homes.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wyhowski and her parents.

Beverly is survived by her children - Cheryl Overholser of South Haven, Carol (Tony) Hensley of Goshen, Indiana and Shirley (Jason) Denbow of South Haven. Eight grandchildren –  Nathan, Alex and Jessica Overholser.  Matthew Connors and Nicholas Hensley.  Justin, Jordan and Cameron Denbow.  Six step children also survive.  Brothers – Harold (Karen) First and Dale (Mary) First both of Sister Lakes, and sister - Donna (Carl) Filbrandt of South Haven.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in South Haven.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Stephen Dailey officiating. Beverly will be laid to rest in Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township. Memorials may be made in Beverly’s memory to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 718 Arbor Ct., South Haven, Michigan 49090.
