Ella's Obituary

Ella Mae Hogle, 82, of Pullman, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Grace of Douglas nursing home in Douglas. She was born November 2, 1934 to Lloyd and Luella (Newton) Bell in Casco Township. Ella graduated with the Fennville High School Class of 1973. She married LeRoy Hogle on November 9, 1950 in the Pullman Gospel Mission parsonage and shared 66 years of marriage. Ella worked in home care as a certified nurse’s aide for South Haven Hospice and Harbors Nursing Home in Douglas. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Ella was a member of the Casco United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by one son – Dennis Hogle and siblings – Georgia Kunst, Harold, Charles, and Jim Bell, Sharon Tranker, and Bernice Binkley.

Ella is survived by her husband – Leroy Hogle of Pullman, children – Christine (Jim) Heyn of St. Joseph, Sherry (Gregg) Orchard of Round Rock, Texas, Annette (Bill) Collins of Flower Mound, Texas, Claude (Anne) Hogle of Fresno, California, and Kim (Steve) Kasinger of Chicora, Michigan. Twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Casco United Methodist Church. Memorial services will follow visitation at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastors Don Graham and George Fleming and Claude Hogle officiating. Ella will be laid to rest in the Casco United Methodist Church Memorial Gardens.
