Bobby's Obituary
Bobby Joe Heavin, 74, of South Haven, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at his home under Hospice care. He was born October 23, 1942 to L. Howard and Mary (Depola) Heavin. Bobby graduated from South Haven High School with the Class of 1960. After attending some college, he enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served in Vietnam from 1963 to 1967. At one time, Bobby owned and operated a restaurant and bar. He also worked as a building inspector for the South Haven Housing Commission. Bobby was a past commander of the American Legion and was also a member of the VFW.
Bobby is preceded in death along with his parents by his brother – Howard (Andy) Heavin.
Bobby is survived by a sister-in-law – Jan Heavin, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven with Pastor Dureya Gibson officiating. Bobby will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
