George's Obituary

George Frank Fann, 70, of Oshtemo Township, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born November 28, 1946 to Frank and Daisey (Tatem) Fann in Norfolk, Virginia. George honorably served his country in the United States Coast Guard stationed in South Haven from 1964 through 1968. He later worked as a truck driver and machinist before his eventual retirement. George loved classic cars and listening to music.


He is preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers – Glenn and Ralph Fann.


George is survived by his wife – Madelyn (Wright) Fann, children – Tina Fann and Joan Alvarado both of South Haven and Jeff Fann of Vicksburg, sibligns – Randy Fann and Judy Fann, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.


Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven with Father Jim Morris officiating. George will be laid to rest at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
