John's Obituary
John Lee Maccune, 68, of Bloomingdale, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home. He was born September 9, 1949 to Jim and Waneta (Sisson) Maccune in Lacota, Michigan. John married Deborah Boynton on October 18, 1985 in Pullman and shared 32 years of marriage. John was a jack of all trades. He served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Lee Township Fire Department for years. He enjoyed playing pool and music on his guitar. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter – Tracyjon Maccune, granddaughter – Hannah Mahlum, and siblings – Ann Marie, Linda Joan, David, and Danny Maccune and Lisa Hambley.
John is survived by his wife - Deborah Maccune of Bloomgindale, children – Michael (Jamie) Neely of Dowagiac, Michigan, Shawnda (Chris) Goodman of Niles, Michigan, and Matthew Neely of South Haven, siblings – Jim Maccune of Zeeland, Robert (Lindia) Maccune of Allegan, Marian (Kelly) Keys of South Haven, Larry (Carrie) Maccune of Pullman, and Tina Morgan of Edmund, Oklahoma. Eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating.
