Sandra Lee Nowrocke

Sandra Lee Nowrocke, 76, of Paw Paw, passed away on Monday, November 6 at Bronson Hospital in the presence of her family. She was born January 16, 1941 to Alexander and Francis (Fairbanks) Wilson in Columbus, Ohio. Sandy moved to Paw Paw more than 25 years ago and became a beloved member of the community. She worked most of her life taking care of the elderly while working other various jobs. She retired in 2001 following the death of her husband, Frank Nowrocke. After retirement, Sandy regularly helped people in need, offering her home, resources and love to many who turned to her. She was actively involved in her church and loved her church family. Sandy was known to many - even outside her family - as “mom” or “grandma.”

Sandy is survived by her three children, Darren Robinson of Wheaton, IL, Robert Robinson of Paw Paw, MI and Dianna (Tim) Holt of Garden City, MI, as well as grandchildren Joseph (Alicia) Dailey and Cierra Carbary and great-grandchildren Alahna and Cienna Dailey and Carson Boitnott.

A memorial service for Sandy will be held at Freshwater Community Church on Saturday, November 18 at 11am. The service will be followed by a luncheon at the same location. Memorial gifts may be made out to Freshwater Community Church and will be used to assist with funeral expenses.
