JoAnne's Obituary
JoAnne Fall, 83, of South Haven, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home under Hospice care. She was born August 21, 1934 to Daniel Boone, Sr. and Frances E. (Russell) Amburgey in Pinckney, Michigan. JoAnne married David “Jed” Fall on May 13, 1955 in Jackson, Michigan. They shared 62 years in marriage. JoAnne worked at Hales Department Store in South Haven and later as a work shop supervisor for Van Buren County Mental Health in Bangor for 15 years before her retirement in 1999. She loved her family and grandchildren and held a special place in her heart for her dog, Bennie and her collection of chicken figurines. She was a former Auxiliary Member of the American Legion.
She is preceded in death by a son – Donald James Fall, siblings – Daniel Boone Amburgey, Jr. and Harriet Decker, and daughter-in-law – Brenda Fall.
JoAnne is survived by her husband – Jed Fall of South Haven, children – Tracie Lynn (Louis) Johnson of Paw Paw, Terry Lou (Steve Hamilton) Gregory of Kalamazoo, Tammie Lee (Joe) Hager of South Haven, and David Jerome Fall, Jr., and siblings – Russell Bowman and Judy Bradley both of Jackson, Michigan. Nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. JoAnne will be laid to rest at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
