Michael's Obituary
Michael Jerome Crayton, Sr., 65, of Covert, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Novemeber 21, 2017 at his home under Hospice care. He was born on January 3, 1952 to Willie Crayton and Annette Crayton in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised by Clara Robinson. He married Denise (Smith) Crayton on February 8, 1996 in Chicago, Illinois
Michael worked as a mechanic in Illinois, for twenty years, retiring in 2006. He loved to fish and enjoyed working on cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother Clara Robinson, Brothers – Cleo Shabazz and John Crayton.
Michael is survived by his wife, Denise Crayton, and son, Michael Crayton Jr. of Freeport, Illinois and wife Demetria Crayton of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Grandchildren- Mikquawn Crayton, Juwan Gaines, My’Kela Crayton, Sidney Crayton, Kee’Ana Crayton, My’Kell Crayton, Michael Heard, Cordell Thompson, Tommy Bonds, Jr. and six Great grandchildren, Sister – Clara (Henry Kensy) of Covert, Michigan, Brothers – Kenneth (Sandra) Crayton of Bollingbrook, Illinois and David Gloover of Chicago, Illinois.
A wake will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the wake at 2:00 P.M. at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Gloria Clark officiating.
