Daniel's Obituary
Daniel James Holmes, 71, of South Haven, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Meadow Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. He was born October 4, 1946 to Earl and Eileen (Casey) Holmes in Chicago, Illinois. Daniel graduated from South Haven High School with the Class of 1964. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was a photographer during Vietnam. He later worked for Borenstans Candy Company in Benton Harbor as a delivery person for many years and at Wycoff Chemical for fifteen years before retiring in 2000. Daniel enjoyed going for long drives and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his children – Brian (Becky Nicholas) Holmes of South Haven and Tim (Andrea) Holmes of Independence, Missouri, former spouse – Peggy Holmes, and ten grandchildren.
Private family services have been held.
