Doris C. Cerny

Doris C. Cerny 90 of South Haven passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.  Doris was born February 13, 1927 in Coloma, Michigan to Carl and Lottie Albers.  She married Frank Cerny on October 18, 1947 in Coloma.  Doris worked 34 years at South Haven Coil. Doris attended the First Baptist Church of South Haven for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband – Frank Cerny (2005), son – Richard Cerny (2013), son in law – Dan Casselman (2015), sister - Delia Schmidtman and brothers – Lawrence and Carl Albers.

Doris is survived by her children – Dale (Ann) Cerny of Huron, Ohio, Robert (Sara) Cerny of South Haven, Steven (Nancy) Cerny of South Haven, Linda Wadsworth of Fremont, Ohio, Teresa (Richard) Bodfish of South Haven, Sheila (John) Sila of South Haven, Janet Casselman of South Haven and Kathy (Ken) Maxwell of South Haven.  Thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and sisters – Vivian Cole and Edith King.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1635 76th Street, South Haven) with Pastor Jerry Koller officiating.  Doris will be laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church or Caring Circle Hospice, 05055 Blue Star Highway, South Haven, MI 49090.
