Miriam's Obituary

Miriam E. Tiearney, 93, of Pullman and Flint, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the McLaren Hospital in Flint, Michigan. She was born January 19, 1924 to Albert and Eva (Wruck) Lucht in Blissfield, Michigan. Miriam married Thomas Tiearney on June 13, 1948 and shared 67 years of marriage before his passing in 2016. She was a member of the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene, and a former member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven.

She is preceded in death along with her husband by a son – Kevin Tiearney, granddaughter – Rebecca Mansfield, and grandson – Kevin Tiearney.

Miriam is survived by her children – Lynne (Michael) Mansfield of Flint, Michigan, Tom (Marilyn) Tiearney, Jr. of Avon, Indiana, and Mark (Denise) Tiearney of Streetsboro, Ohio, daughter-in-law – Becky Tiearney of Watertown, Wisconsin, sister – Ruth Schaab of New Jersey. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, January 15, 2017 at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00 AM with Pastor Travis Wilson officiating. Miriam will be laid to rest at Lee Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Miriam’s memory to the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 06231 Blue Star Highway, South Haven, Michigan 49090 or the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Road, Flint, Michigan 48507.
