Donald William Wank

Donald William Wank, 85, of South Haven, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. He was born June 21, 1932 to William and Doris (Miller) Wank in South Chicago, Illinois. Donald graduated with the South Haven High School Class of 1950 and later earned his degree Western Michigan University in 1955. He married Dorothy Stevens Harsch in October of 1957. Donald honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked at his family furniture store, Wank’s Furniture, before living in Punta Gorda, Florida for 25 years where he sold real estate. Donald enjoyed singing and was a member of the Charlotte Chorale. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in South Haven.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by sons – William Wank and Matthew O’Brien and siblings – Ted Wank and Linda Dickens.

Donald is survived by his children – Jeremy O’ Brien and Terri Harsch both of South Haven and brother – Eugene (Patti) Wank of Ireland, grandchildren – Raymond Wank and Shane Harsch, and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3:00 PM with Pastor Virginia Heller officiating.
