Hyman's Obituary
Hyman Warshawsky, 93, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. He was born June 7, 1924 to Louis and Goldie (Sipperstein) Warshawsky in Chicago, Illinois. Hyman graduated with the South Haven High School Class of 1942 and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan. Hyman married Rochelle (Shelly) Feldschreiber on June 28, 1959 and shared 58 years of marriage. He honorably served his country during World War II. Hyman owned and operated South Haven Steel Center in South Haven until his retirement at 80 years old. He was actively involved in the South Haven community and in charitable organizations; the Shriners, the Masons, and the United Way among others. He was also an avid golfer.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his brothers – Martin, Abe, and Meyer.
Hyman is survived by his wife – Shelly Warshawsky, children – Alan (Kathy) Warshawsky of Carmel, Indiana, David Warshawsky of Winter Springs, Florida, and Susan Terman of Kansas City, Kansas, four grandsons – Reuben and Isaac Warshawsky, Jeremy and Michael Terman, and sister-in-law – Bernice Warshawsky.
Contributions may be made in Hyman’s memory to the Shriner’s or to the First Hebrew Congregation of South Haven.
