Mary's Obituary
Mary Louise Lipsey, 87, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. She was born March 20, 1930 to Joseph and Loretta (Wiecenski) Soppa in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Mary worked as a secretary for Hartford Insurance for many years at and K Mart for 15 years before her retirement in 2004. She was a member of the St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Kentwood as well as the St. John Vianney Church in Wyoming, Michigan. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Jack Oliver Lipsey, daughter – Therese Lipsey, granddaughter – Josephine Lipsey.
Mary is survived by her children – Kathy (Rick) Lange of South Haven, Richard Lipsey of Wyoming, Timothy Lipsey of Wyoming, Jeffrey Lipsey of Portage, Daniel Lipsey of Grand Rapids and Andrew Lipsey of Portland, Oregon, grand children – Charlotte Simone Lipsey-Jones, Monica Lynn Jones, and Adam and Luke McGinnis, and granddaughter – Grace Edelyn.
Private family services have been held.
